As a writer, we’re told to tap stories from our life for our work. And as a children’s book author-illustrator, that means sifting through early childhood memories in particular.

Tom Robbins said, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood.” Let’s see if he’s right. I’ll lead your group through a series of writing and drawing exercises to loosen memories and get the stories flowing. I can’t promise a happy childhood, but one would be hard pressed to leave without at least one new story idea.

“If in the twilight of memory we should meet once more, we shall speak again together and you shall sing to me a deeper song.”

– Khalil Gibran
